IDEEËN, a New York based fashion brand, is found in 2008 by Junko Hirata and Atsuko Yanase. Hirata has worked at Yigal Azrouël and Helmut Lang, while Yanase spent time at Club Monaco. They met while at Catherine Malandrino.
What is most interesting to me about this collection is the different fabrics and textured. The fabrics include felted wools, fur textured yarn, gorgeous high-gauge viscose, exclusively developed fabrics such as patched worked fox fur, printed silk satin and cotton as well as denim.
This line has always been on my radar and I am loving the FW 09 collection, I can definitely see myself in one of those jackets. I'll be anticipating its arrival in stores.
